25-Pack - Serialized Combination Laptop Locks | StarTech.com
The 25-Pack Universal Laptop Lock is a versatile solution compatible with Noble Wedge®, K-Slot (T-Bar), or Nano, providing flexibility and convenience.
A unique on-the-fly lock tip mechanism allows to quickly adapt the lock tip to different security slots. Simply rotate the lock selection dial to change the shape of the lock tip to match the security slot, all without the need to carry different lock tips or use special tools. The cut-resistant steel security cable is 6.6ft (2m) long and 0.17in (4.4mm) thick, providing reach and durability.
Each lock comes with its own pre-set combination code for streamlined security management for IT administrators working with multiple locks. The lock can withstand a pull force of 202lb (91.6kg) for K-slot, 164.4lb (74.6kg) for Nano, and 110.2lb (50kg) for Noble Wedge®, ensuring your computer or other devices remains safe from theft.
Note: The pull force values mentioned may vary if the security slots do not comply with the design standards specified by their respective manufacturers.
The versatile bulk-pack security lock is not limited to laptops or notebooks only. Use this lock to secure other devices such as docking stations, monitors, printers, SFF computers, projectors, oscilloscopes, or other office and lab equipment, expanding its utility. The lock is future-proof as it works with previous and newer computers from various brands, including HP, Dell, Microsoft, and more. Different thickness spacers are provided to ensure a better fit for your device.
The diameter of the lock head is 0.4in (14mm) and features a ball joint design that allows for 360° rotation and 90° pivot of the lock head. This flexibility reduces coiling and minimizes strain on the notebook slot, enhancing durability and usability.
Product Features:

· 6.6ft (2m) cut-resistant steel security locking cable
· Ships with unique serialized four-digit combination code linked to a serial number

      Hi there! As noted in our M3 Display Solutions guide (www.startech.com/en-us/tools-and-resources/solutions/m3-display-solutions), you can use a Thunderbolt docking station like our 132N-TB4USB4DOCK which utilizes your system's GPU's capabilities and can provide dual external displays with your MacBook Air M3's screen closed.. or use a DisplayLink-powered docking station like our DK30C2DPEP which can offer more than two display outputs. We have additional documentation that you may find helpful here: www.startech.com/en-us/blog/dual-displays-and-beyond-with-m3-macbook-air

      If your model iMac has Thunderbolt inputs, there is currently no DisplayLink-powered video adapter that connects via USB on a system and offers Thunderbolt video on the output. For example, our 109B-USBC-HDMI model (www.startech.com/en-us/display-video-adapters/109b-usbc-hdmi) can plug into a TB3 port (or USB-C, or USB-A), and provide dual 4K 60Hz HDMI outputs. Hello there! We just answered a similar question below! In short, M-chip iMacs do have limitations, but you can still get around it with DisplayLink or even Silicon Image chipsets like our 107B-USB-HDMI. Depending on your setup, you may be better off with. USB video adapter rather than a full fledge docking station, especially if you don't need all of the ports and features a dock would provide for a desktop system.

      Hello! USB-C ports that are data only should still support DisplayLink. The additional video capabilities are taken care of by the DisplayLink chipset on the docking station and not your alternate mode DisplayPort from your USB-C port.

    • @startech
      @startech 23 дні тому

      iMacs do have some limitation with maximum displays. However, DisplayLink chipsets should work fine on iMacs but you would have to ask yourself if you require a full docking station (which are generally intended for laptops and usually include laptop charging) or a DisplayLink-powered USB adapter providing two video outputs. An example of a docking station providing dual displays (without the power delivery laptop charging feature) is the DK30A2DH while a USB adapter offering dual displays is the 109B-USBC-HDMI. • @startech
      @startech Місяць тому

      Hi there! Our docking stations are designed for high-performance users. Although we do not generally test with gaming applications, if your objective is to get a particular video resolution and refresh rate that out docking station supports (and that your monitor supports), there should be no reason why that wouldn't work. Ultimately, your laptop's hardware specifications would determine how well gaming applications work for you.

    • @startech
      @startech Місяць тому

      Hello! Our hard drive duplicators perform a sector by sector copy, which means that the target drive must be the exact same size (down to the sector) or larger than the hard drive that is being copied. During a sector by sector copy, each individual sector is copied over to the target drive, regardless of whether or not any data is present. A 500 GB hard drive with 50 GB of data on it will take the same amount of time to copy as a 500 GB hard drive with 450 GB of data on it. can i connect three 2k 120hz displays ?

    • @startech
      @startech Місяць тому

      The DisplayLink chipsets we use in our video adapters and docking stations are bandwidth driven. So for example, if our DisplayLink adapter or dock can achieve triple 4K 60hz, it should also be able to support triple 1080p 120hz. 2K could be supported at 120hz, but there are a few variables like bitrate, actual resolution (2560x1440 or 2048x1080, etc.), as that would be very close to capping out the provided bandwidth. I would suggest contacting our support team for help regarding finding the right product for your specific setup and output needs. You can call 1-800-265-1844 for our 24/5 support. • @startech

      Hello! Optical audio only has enough bandwidth to support uncompressed two channel audio (also known as lossless PCM, or LPCM). In order to send 5.1 (DD or DTS) or 7.1 (DTS) audio signals, the audio needs to be encoded into a compressed (lossy) signal. This requires three things: That the file or source disk being played has audio that is encoded in Dolby Digital or DTS. That the playback software supports bitstreaming the encoded signal (instead of decoding it in software). This may require downloading additional codecs (K-Lite Codec Pack is recommended). That the attach device (AV receiver) be able to decode the compressed DD or DTS signal. Playback software known to support bitstreaming are MPC (Media Player Classic), VLC Media Player, and Kodi. However, since I needed 2 32 inch monitors, I connected the other monitor with the Ugreen brand USBC-HDMI converter that I bought, but it did NOT work. I bought another Ugreen usbc to hdmi converter to wonder, if the usbc-hdmi and single hdmi ports were NOT working at the same time, and the second monitor did NOT work again with dual usbc-hdmi converter. The problem is NOT with the monitor or the cables, I tried all the combinations one by one. There is something I don't know but what? Why can't I use monitors at the same time?

    • @startech

      A MacBook Pro with the entry level M3 chip (not M3 Pro or M3 Max chip), currently only supports a single external display. One way to enable additional displays is to use a DisplayLink-powered docking station or video adapter that requires driver installation on macOS. More information about this approach can be found here: www.startech.com/en-us/blog/multi-monitor-m3-guide

      There should be no worry in using these for prolonged use-cases as these adapters are intended to be used with displays at 1080 60Hz. They have an aluminum chassis for passive cooling. I have the M3 MBA and no, it appears it does NOT support two external monitors. It only works by mirroring the external monitor. I have the MacBook display (when open) and two external monitors mirroring the secondary display. When I close the laptop lid it still only gives ONE external display. It's a lie that Apple gives the M3 the ability to use two external displays independently of one another (not mirrored) in clamshell mode, in my experience. I've purchased and tried two different "hub" products that supposedly provide this functionality while allowing me to have other USB peripherals plugged in. It's false. They do not. I don't know about this $127 product this person is schlepping. I may have to try it because I need two monitors. I bought the M3 specifically for this purpose!
